Our Netball Teams

Season 2024 saw 5 senior netball teams competing in the NFNL winter season. This is a record number of teams for our club and comes about through the hard work and dedication of many people.
Through February and March, internal trials took place which involved over 50 women of all ages and playing abilities. Once teams were established, we had 8 senior players volunteer to coach Teams 2, 3, 4, 5. I thank these coaches for their involvement right throughout the year.
We welcomed many new faces to the club and we are so pleased you chose our club to play your netball in 2024.

Team 1 report – Division 3 runner up:
An amazing season from this team who saw half the team playing together for the first time. Speek, skill, versatility and a never say die attitude saw us make the grand final but we were ultimately defeated in extra time in a pulsating grand final.
We congratulate Elly Castles on being voted the NFNL MVP for division 3.

Team 2 report – Division 7 5th place finish:
A strong finish to the season saw this team finish just outside finals. There were terrific contributors right throughout the season. Thank you to both Mary and Tayla for coaching and mentoring the team throughout the season.

Team 3 report – Division 9 5th place finish:
A very consistent season from this team saw us finish strongly but just outside the finals. The level of play continually improved throughout the season and thank you to both Annie and Shannon for coaching the team this season.

Team 4 report – Division 13 8th place finish:
This team certainly stuck to their tasks all season but were hit hard by both injury and illness which saw many players come in and out. We are still very pleased with how you stayed connected. Thank you to Celeste and Charleigh for coaching this young team.

Team 5 – Division 14 6th place finish:
This team contained many players that were both new to the club and either returning after a long break from netball or were new to the game. It is a testament to their hard work that they were consistently in finals contention but just couldn’t quite get there. Thank you to Maria and Maddy for all their hard work in coaching and mentoring this team.
