Our Club
In 2025 our Senior Men proudly stepped up to 1st Division in the NFNL, marking a major milestone in the clubs 70-year history.
Our Senior Women’s team also tasted finals in 2024 & have made significant improvement.
This advancement reflects on the club’s strong development and growth, and with family members prepared to put their hands up to help where needed.
Alongside this achievement, the club has significantly expanded its junior football sides, fostering young talent.
The Senior Women’s Netball program has also seen growth, as too the clubs new Junior Netball teams, building a strong foundation for the club’s future success.
I would like to thank all committee members, volunteers and Lions supporters in making our club a safe family inclusive club.

Our Club Song
The music and roots of the song are the French National Anthem – “La Marseillaise”
It originated in this form as the Fitzroy Football Club song, and has been “updated” to become the Brisbane Football Club song.
But our lyrics are almost exactly as they were for Fitzroy.
We are the Girls / Boys from South Morang,
We wear the colours Maroon & Blue,
We will always fight for victory,
We will always see it through.
Win or lose, do or die,
In defeat, we always try,
Morang, Morang,
The club we hold so dear,
Premiers, we’ll be this year!
